Job Description:
This summer position will be focused on maintaining the community garden on campus with tasks outside of the garden as well. These tasks include:
● Facilitating monthly community gatherings such as gardening workshops, potlucks and work days
● Doing tool maintenance and general upkeep around the garden
● Listening and responding to the needs of the participating gardeners
● Sending out bi-weekly gardening tops and posting on our social channels
● Maintaining the hydroponics system in the Commuter Lounge
● Taking care of the proposed plant wall in Joyce Hall
Job Requirements:
● Effective communication skills (through a variety of means)
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively
● Ability to see projects through to completion
● Ability to learn information about environmental topics and relate that information to your peers
● Enthusiastic, engaging individuals who are passionate about environmental and social issues
● Students who can be held accountable for their work
